Required documentation

In order for us to sell animals as organic, we must have the following documents from the consigner before the sale:

  • Organic certificate dated within the last 12 months (all pages)

    • If the certificate is older, we also need a Letter of Good Standing from the consignor’s certifying agency

  • For organic dairy or beef, a Livestock Organic Status Affirmation Form completed and signed by the consignor

    • This indicates the animal is eligible to be sold as organic dairy, 100 percent grass fed, or is slaughter eligible

This documentation may be sent with the hauler, dropped off by the consignor or faxed to the market prior to the sale. If the correct documentation is not provided in full, the animal will be sold as conventional.
